The best coworking spaces in Amsterdam
After having analyzed multiple travel blogs, articles, numerous top 10-best-this-and-that’s, we have made the ultimate selection of coworking spaces in Amsterdam that have been rated highest and live up to our WayToNomad standards.
Amsterdam holds four WeWork locations, spreaded from the very south of Amsterdam to the vibrant city-centre. WeWork is a huge company with offices over the whole world. They strive to offer consistency in the quality of their coworking spaces, but we will outline their best offices, because you only deserve the best.
Located in the heart of the city, between the canals of Amsterdam, WeWork Weteringschans is one of the most popular co-working offices. It provices high-speed internet, telephone boots, communal lounges, and meeting rooms. Throughout the year, WeWork offers social events for their community, which is perfect for networking! A nice little touch; there are free coffee and tea facilities, as well as free after-work beer!
The other WeWork office in Amsterdam that is worth mentioning, is WeWork Weesperstraat. This office doesn’t only have all the facilities that you will need for a productive work day. It also offers panoramic views of the city. The atmosphere throughout the building and the extremely friendly and helpful staff will make you feel at home instantly.
B. Amsterdam is stated to be the biggest start-up and innovation ecosystem in Europe. With its 40.000 m2 divided over three buildings, this is not an understatement. The possibilities are endless within these walls in terms of coworking, providing a place for every type of flex worker. The buildings offer everything necessary for a good day of work as well as a place to take a break and relax. Next to its co-working spaces, B. Amsterdam offers event and meeting halls, a lounge, gym, cinema and a rooftop-restaurant with views of the city. Even though its offices are not situated in the centre, it is easily accessible by public transport.
BounceSpace in Amsterdam is the perfect place if you want to have a small-scaled but very comfortable place to work from, in the city center with the best vibes. Its restored interior design and indoor facilties like a hairdresser, espresso bar and other little shops, this place attracts all kinds of entrepreneurs. Offering free spots in the coffee-bar downstairs, to flex desks and fixed desks, there is a place for everyone. Closely located to the Museumplein and Leidseplein, it is very easily accessible. The BounceSpace community loves the bright interior and the energetic and innovative environment. Definitely a place to check out!
Hackers & Founders
For the somewhat longer-term, technical entrepreneurs and developers, Hackers & Founders is the place for you. Within this place you will get super-fast internet, comfortable seats and spacious desks and unlimited coffee. This non-profit organization also offers monthly meetups with bbq-sessions in their sunny garden. Join in for a yoga session every Wednesday, to get ready for a proper week of working. Located in the middle of the vibrant area of The Pijp, this venue really stands out in every way.
A bit more expensive, but definitely worth a shot!
Within a five-minute walk from Amsterdam Central Station lies Meet Berlage, a beautiful historical building offering stunning views of the city. Different packages are offered, from hot-desks to meeting halls, providing a working space for everyone. Its inspirational and charming interior, comfortable desks and the variety of workers ranging from digital nomads to local entrepreneurs make it such a unique place to work from. All of this for very affordable prices!
The lower-budgeted, but definitely with the quality that is non-inferior to the other co-working offices, is StartDock. Located in the city center of Amsterdam in a historic building, this is a great place to start from. StartDock takes the term ‘co-working’ to a next level, by stimulating one-hour lunches with all workers, celebrating birthdays, having vrijmibo’s every week (Friday-afternoon-drinks), and organizing parties. It’s not about all the partying and drinking, but mostly about connecting with each other, sharing ideas and provide help where necessary. A place where you will feel at home quite easily!
The Thinking Hut
The Thinking Hut is one of Amsterdam’s favorite co-working spots, so we had to include it in our selection. There are two locations in Amsterdam, in the North and East side. Even though both venues are rated highly, the East side property has a slightly darker interior, because of lacking daylight. However, both offices have a creative design and feel very cozy and comfortable. The venue in the East side even offers an outside area. The Thinking Hut has become a concept in Amsterdam for creative entrepreneurs, with high quality service, outstanding WiFi connection, great facilities and excellent accessibility.
The flex-spots are not available at the moment due to Covid-19.
