The Volkshotel is located in the old newspaper building of ‘The Volkskrant’, bringing the old industrial feeling back to life. However, this is completely camouflaged by the modern and quirky interior design. Situated a little out of the city centre of Amsterdam, but right between the cool areas of Amstel, the vibrant area of De Pijp and the touristy Waterlooplein, this hotel has an excellent location.
The Volkshotel is extremely easy to reach by public transport. From the Central Station of Amsterdam, you can take an 8-minute subway to the Wibautstraat stop, which is next to the Volkshotel. Or you can travel to the Amstel Station and walk in 15 minutes to the hotel.
Travelling by car? The Volkshotel has its own parking space, for €20 a day you can park your car, no reservation needed.
